BRIDGEPORT - A man is under arrest for allegedly shooting another man and pistol-whipping another in Bridgeport Monday morning.

Edwin Ruiz, 24, was arrested last night and is being held on $100,000 bond. According to police, he shot a man in the leg on Brooks Street yesterday, then pistol-whipped another in the back of the head.

Police believe Ruiz is also responsible for a shooting that happened late yesterday evening, less than 12 hours before Monday's shooting. In that incident, police say the victim was shot in the hand and leg.
