BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police are investigating after someone was attacked with a baseball bat outside a soup kitchen.

Police say someone hit the man on steps of the Thomas Merton House on Madison Avenue yesterday afternoon.

They say they found a broken baseball bat at the scene.

The director of the Merton House says the victim was a guest at the soup kitchen.
