WESTPORT - State police say a driver who was high on crack led them on a chase at speeds of 70 mph for 25 miles from West Haven to Westport.

They arrested 36-year-old John Belbusti following the pursuit just after midnight yesterday.

Police say the car hit stop sticks near Exit 18. All four tires were punctured and sparks were flying as the car slowed near Exit 17.

Police say they found crack cocaine and marijuana in the car.  No one was hurt.
