BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police say a 33-year-old man is facing charges in the death of a man found dead in a creek behind a bar.

Richard De Carvalho was arraigned today on a charge of criminally negligent homicide after turning himself in last night.

Police say De Carvalho got into a fight with Wayne Bentley at Chubby's bar on Fairfield Avenue in Black Rock that ended with both men falling into the water in August.

The medical examiner says Bentley was unable to pull himself out of the water after being hurt in the fight, and eventually drowned.
