SOUTH NORWALK - Police say a man was critically injured in a violent confrontation at a South Norwalk home Sunday.

One neighbor says she came out of her home at around 10:30 a.m. and saw a man covered in blood on the stairs of 37 Woodward Ave. Emergency crews transported the man to a local hospital, while investigators took photos of the blood trail and scene of the incident.

Authorities took one suspect into custody, but say they are searching for a second. Police have not released the names of the victim or suspects.

Neighbors say violence in the area has recently spiraled out of control.
