Man dressed in diaper arrested in Stratford

STRATFORD - A 41-year-old Stratford man is facing charges after police say he was walking around the parking lot of a supermarket wearing just a diaper and asking people to change him.

Police say Thomas Wellington was in the parking lot of the C-Town Plaza Tuesday when he approached a woman with her three grandchildren and asked her if she had any baby wipes.

Police say when they arrested Wellington, he told them he was wearing a diaper because he suffers from intestinal problems. Officers say they also found several pacifiers in Wellington's car.

Wellington is charged with breach of peace. He will face a judge next month.
