Man found shot to death in car in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police found a man shot to death in his car yesterday evening in what is the city's 20th homicide of the year.

Witnesses say police were investigating a separate incident when they discovered the man's body on Sunshine Circle at around 6 p.m. last night. Police say the black Nissan Maxima was parked, but still running when they found the victim dead inside. Residents say they had seen the car running for hours, but didn't realize someone was inside.

The victim's name has been withheld, but his family says he played football for Central High School and was a college graduate.
