NORWALK - A man has been hospitalized after he was shot outside of a liquor store in Norwalk yesterday afternoon.

Police say the victim was shot in the back after being chased by the suspect outside the Woodward Liquor Store on Woodward Avenue at around 2 p.m. yesterday. The suspect was found hiding in the basement of a nearby grocery store, and eventually surrendered to the police.

Police say the victim was rushed to the hospital, but did not have life-threatening injuries.
