Man in critical condition after Stamford hit-and-run

STAMFORD - Stamford police say a man is in critical condition after a hit-and-run early yesterday morning.

Police say 46-year-old Miguel Otero was struck at around 2:30 a.m. at South State and Atlantic streets, just a block away from a serious hit-and-run crash that injured a cyclist three weeks ago.  They say Otero was found lying in the street with a severe head injury.

Neighbors say the latest accident has them feeling a bit uneasy.

Police say they are looking for a white and gold Land Rover Discovery Series 2 model with a missing right-side mirror.

Investigators are urging anyone with information to call them at 203-977-4417.
