STAMFORD - A judge has ruled a Stamford man accused of beating his mother to death is mentally unfit to stand trial.

The ruling on Timothy Anderson, 42, came during a court hearing yesterday.

Prosecutors say Anderson started punching his mother in the face last March when she confronted him about taking his medication.

She died in the hospital three days later.
