Police say a 24-year-old man was critically hurt in a shooting early Sunday morning.

BRIDGEPORT - Police say a 24-year-old man was critically hurt in a shooting early Sunday morning.

The shooting happened at around 3:30 a.m. near Stratford and Newfield avenues.

Police say the victim was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen.

He was listed in critical but stable condition.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact Bridgeport police.
