BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police are investigating a shooting during a robbery at a clothing store this morning.

Police say the shooting occurred at around 10 a.m. at East Side Sport clothing store on East Main Street.

A man demanded money from store owner Felix Reyes, 65, before shooting him, according to Reyes’ son. The owner's son also says the robber ran off empty-handed.

Reyes is alert and expected to make a full recovery, according to his son.

Police say the suspect remains on the loose. Anyone with information is asked to call Bridgeport police.
