NORWALK - A man is recovering after he was shot in the leg outside of the emergency room of Norwalk Hospital just after midnight.

Officers say four shots were fired and one bullet hit a 22-year-old patient while he was walking out the doors. Detectives say the suspects knew the victim was at the hospital and were waiting for him.

Witnesses helped officers find and pull over the vehicle on East Avenue. They are now processing it for evidence.

Officials say they have significant leads in this case and while they haven't made any arrests, they do have some people in interest.

A Stop the Violence meeting is being held tomorrow night at Norwalk City Hall at 6:30 p.m.
