STAMFORD - Stamford police arrested a 20-year-old man for allegedly stabbing another man with a pair of scissors yesterday.

Officers say the incident happened inside an apartment at 126 Henry St. while the suspect, David Davis, was getting a haircut.

According to investigators, a third man walked into the room and Davis stabbed him.

"It was a slashing-type of stab to the back, not life-threatening," says Capt. Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police Department.

Police say the two had argued before and Davis claimed he was afraid the victim was going to hurt him.

Davis is due in court March 22.
