Man who allegedly climbed Fairfield bank appears in court

FAIRFIELD - A man accused of climbing onto the roof of a Fairfield bank the night before Thanksgiving appeared in court today.

Steven Ensinger, 23, is facing charges in connection with the incident at the Citibank on Black Rock Turnpike.

Police originally responded to the scene with guns drawn, thinking it may have been a robbery attempt.

A friend of Ensinger said he had been drinking that night and has a habit of climbing things when he is drunk.

Ensinger is out on bond and is due back in court in January.
