Manhunt continues for suspect in fatal Bpt. shooting

BRIDGEPORT - Police are confident they will find the gunman who shot and killed a 20-year-old man inside his Bridgeport home Tuesday night. According to police, the victim, Dexter Hill, was inside his house at 1349 Fairfield Ave., when he was killed. Authorities do not say whether he was alone at the time of the shooting.Detectives say friends rushed Hill to St. Vincent's Medical Center, where he later died.Hill is this city's 10th homicide victim this year. Family members who gathered around a makeshift memorial on Hill's front porch say they are outraged and tired of gun violence.?My son was murdered three years ago today, and now my nephew,? says Hill?s aunt, Nicole Matthews. ?It's too much. I don't think a mother should have to bury [her] child.? Detectives say they are following several leads, but the motive for the shooting remains unknown. They continue to question people about Hill?s death. They?re asking anyone with information to contact them.
