McMahon, Murphy square off in second debate for open Senate seat

NORWALK - Republican Linda McMahon and Democratic Rep. Chris Murphy debated for the second time Thursday night as both candidates vie for Connecticut's open U.S. Senate seat.

McMahon repeatedly told Murphy to tell voters the truth, particularly about his past financial issues. Murphy pointed out McMahon's indirect answers to some questions.

The two candidates agreed on one thing during the one-hour debate: a desire to bring the troops home from Afghanistan.

McMahon and Murphy have two debates left and both will be held next week.
