FAIRFIELD - A Fairfield fashion boutique has joined a national effort to provide stylish handbags to women in need.
Me Boutique in Fairfield has joined the fashion accessory company Brighton's annual "Handbag Trade-in," a national effort to collect 10,000 donated bags over 10 summer days.
Donors are rewarded with a discount on new handbags.

Supporters say that the handbags provide a boost of confidence to needy women. They also help recipients appear presentable while on the job hunt.
The drive runs through Sunday, July 26.
