May 28, 2016

Redding Memorial Day Parade
Time: 11:30am - 1:00pm
Information: The parade will be held rain or shine. As in past years, formation will take place at the Redding Elementary School Memorial Auditorium, beginning at 11:30am. The ceremony will begin promptly at 12:00pm with parade step-off at 12:15pm.

May 29, 2016

RCA Memorial Day Parade
Time: 12pm
Where: Community Center to Downtown Rowayton
Information: This event is sponsored by the Rowayton Civic Association. Pick your favorite spot along Rowayton Avenue or McKinley Street and cheer for our veterans, Brien McMahon and Roton School marching bands, our commissioners, volunteer firefighters, Little Leaguers, Scouts and all the many other enthusiastic marchers (even four-footed ones!).
After the parade, join fellow residents at Veterans’ Cannon to honor those who died in their service to our country.

Stamford Memorial Parade
Time: 11am
Information: Step-off at Hoyt Street and Summer Street; ends at Veterans Park on Atlantic Street. Ceremony will begin approximately 1pm in Veterans Park.

Greenwich Memorial Day Parade
Time: 2pm
Where: 300 Delavan Ave. Greenwich
Information: Hosted by the Byram Veterans Association. After the parade all are invited for beverages and light food.

Milford Memorial Day Parade
Time: 2pm
Information:  All units are to assemble at the Daniel Wasson Field.  Parade starts there and goes down River Street to Broad Street at the Milford Green. The parade is in honor of our fallen heroes who have served this country, ensuring and preserving our freedoms.  Come out and show your support to our fallen heros.

Orange Memoral Day Parade
Time: 10:30am
Where: High Plains Community Center Parade Grounds at the Gazebo
Information: Kevin Gilbert once again will serve as parade organizer.  Parade ceremonies will commence promptly at 10:30 a.m. at the High Plains Community Center Parade Grounds at the Gazebo.  The parade will step off immediately following the ceremony down Orange Center Road past the reviewing stand with services following at the Orange Center Cemetery.

Glenville Parade
Time: 5pm
Parade Route: Glenville Street from Walker Court down to the Glenville Firehouse.
Information: Parade participants should form up on Walker Court at 4:30pm. Following the parade, there will be a brief ceremony and wreath laying at the Veterans Monument adjacent to the firehouse.

Stratford Memorial Day Observance
Time: 11:00am
Location: Academy Hill

Sound Beach Volunteer Fire Department Memorial Day Parade: CANCELED
Information: The parade is canceled due to inclement weather. However, a memorial service will be held at Binney Park at 6 p.m., weather permitting.

New Canaan Memorial Day Parade
Time: 9:30am
Information: The parade will start promptly at 9:30am, and conclude with the ceremony at Lakeview Cemetery.

Norwalk Memorial Day Parade: CANCELED
Information: The parade will not be rescheduled.

Westport Memorial Day Parade: CANCELED
Information: The parade is canceled due to inclement weather. 

Wilton Annual Memorial Day Parade: CANCELED 

Information: The parade is canceled due to inclement weather. 

Weston Annual Memorial Day Parade: CANCELED
Information: The parade is canceled due to inclement weather. 

Fairfield Memorial Day Parade: CANCELED
Information: The parade is canceled due to inclement weather. 

Darien Memorial Day Parade
Time: 10:00am 
Information: Rain or shine. The closing ceremony may be moved inside, depending on weather. The parade steps off at the Goodwives Shopping Center. It proceeds down the Post Road to the Spring Grove Veterans' Cemetery where we will hold our annual cemetery ceremony with Brian O'Malley as our speaker. Len Hunter is the Grand Marshal. Service at the cemetery is at about 11:45am or whenever the parade participants reach the cemetery.

Woodbridge Memorial Day Ceremony
Time: 10:45am
Where: Veterans of Foreign Wars Monument in front of the Center Building (4 Meetinghouse Lane) 
Information: The program will include patriotic music, a memorial wreath presentation, the Woodbridge Police Department Honor Guard and remarks by local and state officials. Master of Ceremonies and veteran Barry Josephs will present the history of Memorial Day and give special recognition to those servicemen who were lost in the attack on Pearl Harbor 75 years ago. 

Easton Memorial Day Parade: CANCELED

Information: The parade is canceled due to inclement weather. 

Town of New Caanan Memorial Day Parade -  ABBREVIATED PARADE ROUTE
Time: 9:30 a.m.
Information: The parade will step off from St Marks at 9:30 a.m. and proceed down Main Street to St. John's Place. The route will continue up to Park Street, where it will turn left into the Town Hall campus and proceed to the entrance to Town Hall.  The Memorial Day ceremony will take place at 10:15 a.m. at Town Hall.

 

Bridgeport: Combined Veterans Organizations of All United States Wars
Time: 9 a.m.
Information: On Memorial Day, May 30, 2016 the Council will hold the City of Bridgeport's annual ceremony to recognize the sacrifices of those Americans who lost their lives while wearing the uniform of our Country. At 9:00 a.m. we will raise and lower the flag to half-staff at Veterans Memorial Park. The ceremony will be held at the Soldiers & Sailors Monuments at Seaside Park, at 1:00 p.m. In the event of rain the Ceremony will be held at City Hall at 1:00 p.m.
