NEW HAVEN - Metro-North officials say they have fixed a glitch that prevented riders from paying with credit cards.

Officials say yesterday's glitch forced passengers to use cash to get a ticket, the second time the problem has happened in the last week.

Metro-North had announced on New Year's Eve that ticket machines at every station except Grand Central Terminal were not accepting credit or debit cards.

MTA officials say yesterday's outage was due to a problem with the communications provider.
