Michael McFarlane arrested in June shooting in Stamford

Stamford police say a man wanted for a shooting over the summer is now in custody. They say officers arrested Michael McFarlane, 20, on Sunday

STAMFORD - Stamford police say a man wanted for a shooting over the summer is now in custody.

They say officers arrested Michael McFarlane, 20, on Sunday when he tried to get off a Metro-North train in Bridgeport.

They say McFarlane shot a man he knew during an attempted robbery on Richmond Hill Avenue in June.

The victim survived.

Police say a stray bullet also hit a nearby vehicle that had a 3-year-old child inside.
