Michelle O'Brien facing charges for filing false kidnapping report in Norwalk

NORWALK - A Norwalk woman who prompted a police search after claiming she was kidnapped is now facing charges.

Police say they arrested Michelle O'Brien Wednesday afternoon.

Officers say she failed to pick up her child at a school bus stop last month.

School officials called her and they say she told them she was being held against her will at a house in the area.

O'Brien was later found intoxicated and on drugs at a friend's house.
