Michelle O'Brien facing charges for filing false kidnapping report in Norwalk

Police say Michelle O'Brien told them she was being held against her will after she failed to pick up her child at the school bus stop. (1/10/14)

NORWALK - A Norwalk woman who prompted a police search after claiming she was kidnapped is now facing charges.

Police say they arrested Michelle O'Brien Wednesday afternoon.

Officers say she failed to pick up her child at a school bus stop last month.

School officials called her and they say she told them she was being held against her will at a house in the area.

O'Brien was later found intoxicated and on drugs at a friend's house.
