MILFORD - Dozens of community activists and churchgoers in Milford gathered Monday to discuss the needs of homeowners still rebuilding from Hurricane Sandy.

The Kingdom Life Church hosted the Church World Service, a national faith-based group that helps train emergency responders, church and city leaders to best deal with long-term storm recovery.

Members of the group say the city must pool its resources and conduct surveys to understand problems at the individual level.

The next meeting will take place this Thursday at the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center.
