MILFORD - The Milford Fire Department demonstrated "high-angle" rescue training Monday, a day after a driver flipped her vehicle and left it dangling in a precarious position.

Firefighters took under two hours to rescue the woman and remove the vehicle after it flipped over a seawall near Parkland Place in Milford Sunday. The victim was rushed to a hospital.

Responders said Sunday's accident wasn't the first time they encountered such a scene. In fact, firefighters train several times a year for these situations; they even used to train years ago at the very same seawall.

Crews said these high-angle rescues require the use of tower trucks to retrieve victims from difficult situations.

The victim's mother says she has since been released from the hospital and is now recovering at home.
