Milford firefighters say a home in the city was severely damaged by an early morning fire.It happened around 6 a.m. on Cedar Hill Road.The family

MILFORD - Milford firefighters say a home in the city was severely damaged by an early morning fire.

It happened around 6 a.m. on Cedar Hill Road.

The family tells us they woke up, smelled smoke and got out of the house.

Fire officials say this incident highlights the need to have working smoke detectors.

The fire marshal has been called to the scene and is still trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
