MILFORD - Milford city leaders are asking the public to sign up for the city's new emergency notification system.

Officials say the system will be used to quickly notify the public in the event of emergencies like severe weather, flooding and unexpected road closures.

They say users can also sign up for community announcements.

They say the public can choose between phone calls, text messages and emails and can choose how often they receive them.
