MILFORD - Many Milford parents turned out at a Board of Aldermen meeting last night hoping to speak about the school budget.

The board was considering about $2 million in cuts to the budget. However, parents were denied the chance to speak as last night's session was not open to public comment.

The board is considering many plans including closing Simon Lake Elementary, reconfiguring all elementary schools or possibly cutting almost 40 teacher positions.

A decision on the budget is expected in late May.
