MILFORD - Milford residents who are still rebuilding from Tropical Storm Irene are preparing for Hurricane Sandy.

The Point Beach area was hit especially hard by Tropical Storm Irene in August 2011.

Many say that after last year's disaster, they are taking the warnings about Hurricane Sandy very seriously.

The fire department says it has been testing the emergency alert system in the area just in case people have to evacuate.
