MILFORD - Residents of one Milford street took matters into their own hands after being snowed in for two days straight.

River Highlands Drive residents say they were fed up with not being able to leave their street. Each resident whipped out their shovel or fired up their snow blower and began to dig themselves out.

Residents say it was also important to clear the street for their neighbors who couldn't be out there shoveling with them.

Officials say crews were out today clearing other roads in Milford. Many of the town's roads were still snowy, but passable.
