MILFORD - Parents of Simon Lake Elementary School students say they are confused and frustrated after the Board of Aldermen approved the Board of Education's budget without the full increase it requested.

The school district now faces a $2.2 million budget gap and parents fear Simon Lake may be closed for good.

Parents say closing Simon Lake Elementary is not the only issue they have with the school district?s plan to close the budget gap.

They say dividing the elementary schools into kindergarten through second grade and third through fifth grades is also flawed.
