MILFORD - Many parents at Simon Lake Elementary School in Milford are worried their children's school will close next year.

The city's school system says it needs to cut about $2 million from its proposed budget. Parents at Simon Lake say faculty members have been told if a school must close, it will be theirs.

At a meeting tonight, parents packed Jonathan Law High School to argue against the planned closure.

The Board of Aldermen is expected to make a decision on the proposed cuts in May.
