Milford teen apologizes for crash that hurt NY officer

The teenage suspect who led police on a high-speed chase that left one officer critically injured issued an apology today on his way into Irvington

IRVINGTON - The teenage suspect who led police on a high-speed chase that left one officer critically injured issued an apology today on his way into Irvington court.

Brian Sabia, 16, of Milford, is still recovering from his own injuries after slamming into an Irvington police car at the intersection of Main Street and Route 9 in Irvington nearly two weeks ago.

Sabia and Irvington officer Luigi Osso both had to be pried from their vehicles after the crash. Osso has undergone five surgeries and is said to be making progress.

"I'm sorry," Sabia said. "I didn't mean to hurt him under my own will."

Sabia is being held without bail at the county jail. He's due back in court May 24.
