MILFORD - A dozen veterans who served the nation in three different wars came together in Milford to honor their fellow servicemen and women.

The group shared their stories of service and spoke about the importance of preserving Veterans Day as an American cultural tradition. They're also calling for the reform of property tax laws that apply to veterans.

The group was visited by Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who thanked them for their service and courage.

Milford is home to about 5,000 veterans.
