STRATFORD - A Stratford man will avoid jail time for scamming nearly $80,000 through his grave stone business.

Richard Miron, father of former mayor Jim Miron, was given five years probation and ordered to pay back his victims at his sentencing today.

Miron admitting taking money for stones he never delivered.

Miron's attorney says he's already paid back about $60,000 of the money he took. He has nearly a year to finish paying off the tab.
