BRONX - A Bronx woman whose 7-year-old son drowned in a Stamford pool on Christmas Eve says she's about to lose her other four children to the state of New York.

Laneniece Vanterpool say the New York City Administration for Children's Services is forcing her to hand over custody of her children because they claim negligence in the death of her son, Jamir Wilson. Wilson drowned in the swimming pool of the Stamford Hilton.

Vanterpool says ACS is claiming she was in her hotel room when Jamir fell in. But Vanterpool claims she was actually with her son and was the one to pull him out and give him CPR until paramedics arrived.

Both Stamford police and the state medical examiner ruled the death accidental.

ACS says it can't comment on the specific case but did say it must investigate all reports. An ACS spokesperson says, "Even if police do not find criminal (fault), there may still be unsafe conditions ACS needs to investigate and act upon."
