MONROE - A stay-at-home mom has been released from jail after a court appearance for allegedly trying to strangle her husband in Monroe last night.
According to police, Deborah Sylvester tried to choke her husband with her bare hands and also drove into his car while her teenage son was in the backseat.
Officials say the incidents happened at the family's home at 22 Horizon Court. She was later arrested at her sister's home in Greenwich.
According to Sylvester's attorney, she was served with divorce papers while in jail.
