EASTON - Many Easton residents are worried that some people are trying to get a vote to move forward with plans for a Sept. 11 memorial thrown out.
At a meeting last week, town residents voted to approve plans for the memorial on the town green.
Now, a group has demanded a recount of that vote, a recount that was held Thursday afternoon upholding the results.
Now, some want the board of selectman, which still has to give final approval to the project, to ignore the vote and start the process over.
The town's first selectman would not talk about the situation Thursday afternoon saying it would be addressed at a meeting later that night.
