BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch is reacting to news of more trouble for the elementary school being decontaminated after air checks found PCBs.

Columbus School was being renovated when the tests were done and now the school is temporarily closed.

The school's 600 students and teachers had to start their school year elsewhere.

The mayor says a delay due to contractor error is unacceptable. "I am outraged, and share our Columbus School parents' frustration." He adds, "I want to assure parents that we are working diligently with the parties involved to ensure that the school when it does reopen, is a safe and secure learning environment for students, teachers and staff."
