Mother, child hurt in Bridgeport hit-and-run

BRIDGEPORT - A mother and her baby are recovering after they were injured in a hit-and-run accident in Bridgeport.Police say they were hit by a truck at around 6:30 a.m. at Park and Washington avenues. Officials at Bridgeport Hospital say the woman was likely treated and released. Hospital officials say the baby, who is probably around 1, is in good condition.Police say they found the truck and the driver involved in the accident at a Pilot station in Milford.Authorities say the driver is currently in police custody.
