STAMFORD - Stamford Downtown recently unveiled dozens of painted dinosaurs as part of this year's Art in Public Places exhibit.

News 12 Connecticut followed the transformation of some of the sculptures, from plain fiberglass figures to eye-popping works of art.

However, two of the dinosaurs represent another transformation in this case, that of the artist behind the work.

Alicia Cobb left her full-time job to become an artist. With the help of her daughter, Teyana, the two were able to create the dinosaurs.

If you want to see the finished products, Cobb's dinosaurs are at 264 Atlantic St., and in the valet section of the Stamford Marriott Hotel.
