Motorists hit the road for Memorial Day weekend

NORWALK - Drivers are hitting the highways for Memorial Day weekend, heading for places including the Cape and Rhode Island.

AAA says the number of people expected to go away this year is almost the same as last year. They say they don't expect an increase as a result of high gas prices.

The Connecticut State Police will be out looking for motorists who are driving under the influence, texting or not wearing their seat belts.
