Mourners pay respects to boy killed in Bridgeport fire

BRIDGEPORT - ? Hundreds of mourners gathered today to pay their respects to a 7-year-old Bridgeport boy killed in a fire last week.

Kyle Jean-Baptist died from smoke inhalation in his apartment on Highland Avenue.

Kyle was one of nine people trapped inside a three-story apartment building shared by family members when it caught fire last Monday.

After his funeral at First Baptist Church of Stratford, Baptist was laid to rest at Mount Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport.Fire investigators are still trying to determine how the fire started. Funeral held for Bridgeport fire victim
