RIDGEFIELD - Mourners gathered Tuesday to remember a 15-year-old Ridgefield girl who was hit by a car Friday night.

Emma Sandhu was hit while walking along Ridgebury Road. The driver stopped at the scene and is not facing charges.

Ridgefield High School students say Sandhu had a positive impact on the whole community.

She was an avid dancer who her friends say took it very seriously and annually performed in "The Nutcracker."

Emma's parents have started a scholarship in her name. A private burial will be held Wednesday.
