MTA: Man fatally struck by train was lying on the tracks

MTA officials have released new information on the fatal train accident that happened Saturday night in Fairfield.Investigators have identified the victim as 51-year-old Michael Lang

FAIRFIELD - MTA officials have released new information on the fatal train accident that happened Saturday night in Fairfield.

Investigators have identified the victim as 51-year-old Michael Lang of New Milford. Lang was struck and killed behind the Super Stop and Shop on Kings Highway Cutoff at around 6:30 p.m.

Officials say Lang was lying on the tracks and died instantly. Police say Lang was charged with trespassing about a month ago in the same location where he was killed.

Police say they are still investigating the incident.
