NORWALK - A government official says NBC Sports has agreed to relocate from New York to Stamford to take advantage of tax breaks in Connecticut.

The official says NBC Sports and the Legislature still have to finalize the details on the tax credits.

Gov. Dannel Malloy (D-Conn.) hopes to announce the agreement next week after both sides finalize the deal that could bring as many as 400 jobs to the area.

Reports say the deal involves NBC Sports moving into the old Clairol Hair Dye factory, promising the new jobs in exchange for between $25 million - $50 million in incentives.
