FAIRFIELD - Connecticut Light & Power reports 399,099 customers without power today.

Meanwhile, United Illuminating reports another 141,248 are without power.

Fairfield officials say their town continues to be in a state of emergency with over 90 percent without power at this time.

The town's assistant fire chief says his crews rescued a group of eight on Mona Terrace after they were trapped on the second floor of their home last night.

He also says fire crews watched as floodwaters washed away a home down the South Pine Creek last night around 11 p.m.
