STAMFORD - A trauma discussion on how to cope with the Newtown school shooting effects was held at a Stamford middle school.

A clinical worker was on hand tonight at Rippowam Middle School to help families with coping. Family Centers Clinical Social Worker Amanda Harmon says students are very aware of what happened in Newtown. Harmon says now is the time to address the trauma and help all families move forward.

Harmon says if a child is having trouble coping, a parent might see a change in behavior, such as isolating themselves and/or a dip in grades.
