FAIRFIELD - The Fairfield Borders is set to close Wednesday, but a new bookstore is set to take its place, at least temporarily.

Book Warehouse, as well as a trendy Indian café called Taj Café, will move in to the space.

Many are sad to see Borders leave. They say the community aspect of the store will be missed most.

Developers say the new bookstore and café will be around for at least six months. They say they are close to signing a long-term tenant and have three proposals on the table.
