NEW CANAAN - The changing of the guard has taken place in New Canaan.

Police Chief Edward Nadriczny retired after 36 years with the department, having served as chief for the past eight.

Captain Leon Krolikowski took over as interim chief. He is being considered for the permanent position, which is expected to be decided later this year.
