NEW CANAAN - Some officers with the New Canaan Police Department were at the Elm Street train station this morning, looking for support from residents.

Organizers say officers at the police department have been working without a contract since June of last year.

Officers say they just want a reasonable contract with the town.

Organizers say the state offered to mediate the police department's contract last week, but they say the town turned it down.
